Long live the chameleon of rock

One of the things that inspires me most in life is music, I like to mix it with everything, learn business lessons from jazz musicians, get inspired by listening to rock & blues and also relax by listening to The Who, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis. But there is one artist who is a fantastic inspiration because of his simple story: David Bowie.

David Bowie wanted to be an instigator of new ideas. So he decided to use the easiest medium to start with - which was rock and roll - and add pieces to it over the years, so that in the end "he could be his own medium. This is how the little boy who used to get on the nerves of his neighbor Pete Townshend got his colors.

We all know the cameleon side, which was Ziggy Stardust, Aladin Sane, The Thin White Duke, The Goblin King, Lazarus and Major Tom. Besides being a musician, instrumentalist, writer and actor, Bowie was an entrepreneur, and one of the social network enthusiasts, creating Bowie.net long before myspace or facebook, a kind of social network and streaming where people could get together to share the universe he created.

Bowie also revolutionized the stock and music market by being the first artist to "release his music as stock", allowing people to invest in the future return that his work would give, a kind of music savings, now widely used by great artists.

Five years ago the chameleon of rock left this earth like the staging of a movie: he released his CD and two days later died of a cancer that until then nobody knew about. His CD is an epitaph, a poetry, and at the same time a testament.

As if this were not enough, he left an entire repertoire recorded to be released a few years after his death, as a kind of posthumous release. His enterprise was himself, but his work was not to end even if his life did. Bowie's tenure is over, but he has left fruit for the next generations.

Today, 2 days before his death, 5 years after the release of his last CD, and on his birthday, Bowie presents us with another one of his songs.
